NEW GP - DR HASAN HABIB

WE ARE VERY PLEASED TO WELCOME DR HASAN HABIB TO THE PHOENIX SURGERY. DR HABIB IS CURRENTLY WORKING ON A LOCUM BASIS BUT IT IS OUR INTENTION THAT HE WILL BECOME A GP PARTNER AS SOON AS REGULATORY APPROVAL IS RECEIVED AND THE LEGAL PROCESS IS COMPLETE. HE WILL BE WORKING THREE DAYS PER WEEK AND APPOINTMENTS WITH HIM CAN BE BOOKED VIA RECEPTION OR ONLINE.

NO OPEN SURGERIES ON 1st, 8th & 15th JULY

WE ARE SORRY TO ADVISE THAT WE ARE UNABLE TO PROVIDE OUR USUAL 'OPEN SURGERY' SESSIONS ON THESE THREE MONDAYS IN JULY. PATIENTS WHO BELIEVE THAT THEY REQUIRE AN URGENT APPOINTMENT ON THIS DAY SHOULD CALL BETWEEN 08:00 & 08:30 - THEY WILL BE ASSESSED BY THE TRIAGE NURSE AND AN APPROPRIATE RESPONSE PROVIDED. WE APOLOGISE FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE CAUSED.

FACTS ABOUT GENERAL PRACTICE

GENERAL PRACTICE HAS RECENTLY BEEN THE TARGET OF UNFAIR CRITICISM BY THE MEDIA AND SOME POLITICIANS.  THIS LEAFLET , ISSUED BY WESSEX LOCAL MEDICAL COMMITTEES, AIMS TO PROVIDE THE FACTS ABOUT GP SERVICES.

This surgery website is used to present all our patients with up to date news and information about our practice. We will keep it current with any developments or other details that we feel are relevant to you.

The Phoenix Surgery in Swindon provides patient-centred traditional 'family doctor' care and is a founder member of the Family doctor Association. As a service to patients we also offer extended surgery hours on many Tuesday and Thursday evenings for pre-booked appointments.

Check_throatThe practice is open for the registration of new patients living in West and North Swindon, as well as the nearby villages. You will need to call into the surgery to register with us and book a new patient health check.

As well as a source of information about our practice, the staff and the services we provide, we hope you will use this website as a useful resource for other health-related information - the Video Library, Long Term Conditions and Minor Illness sections can be accessed from the links on the right hand side of this page and have literally hundreds of interesting and informative videos available.
